Support
Email contact@nikaoindustries.com with your store's .myshopify.com address and, if you can, a sample of your supplier file. We reply within 2 business days, usually sooner. If a sync is causing problems on your store right now, put "urgent" in the subject. You can undo any sync yourself from Sync history straight away.
Common questions
- What files does Feedguard read?
- CSV and other delimited text (comma, semicolon, tab, pipe), Excel .xlsx, XML and JSON. The file can come from a web address, a Google Sheet shared by link, Google Drive, Dropbox, an FTP or SFTP server, or an upload.
- How are rows matched to my products?
- By SKU or barcode, ignoring upper/lower case and spaces. You can also ignore leading zeros. Rows that match nothing are listed on each sync page. If several variants share a SKU, Feedguard updates all of them, or skips them if you prefer.
- Why did my sync stop at "Ready to review"?
- The first sync of a feed always waits for you to check it, and so does every sync if you turn off "Apply syncs automatically". Open the sync, check the changes and click Apply.
- Why did my sync say "Stopped by a safety limit"?
- The file looked very different from usual: far fewer rows than the last sync, or many items going out of stock at once. Nothing was changed. If the file is right (for example the supplier really did drop a range), click Apply anyway. You can adjust the limits in the feed's settings.
- How does undo work?
- Open the sync in Sync history and click Undo this sync. Quantities move back by the amount the sync changed them, so sales since then are kept. Prices and costs go back only if nobody has changed them since; any that were changed again are left alone and listed.
- What happens to products that aren't in the file?
- By default they're left alone. You can choose to set their quantity to 0 instead, which suits dropshipping from a single supplier. Use the vendor or tag filter so other suppliers' products are never touched.
- Can it read quantities like ">50" or "In stock"?
- Yes. ">50" and "50+" count as 50, ranges like "10-20" use the lower number, negative numbers count as 0, and text such as "In stock" uses the number you choose. Text it can't understand is skipped and listed, never guessed.
- Can I add a markup to supplier prices?
- Yes. Set a markup percentage, an amount to add, rounding (.99, .95 or whole numbers) and a minimum price. Price changes bigger than your limit (50% by default) are skipped and listed so you can check them.
- Is my FTP password safe?
- Passwords are encrypted before they are stored and are never shown again in the app. Feedguard only reads files; it never writes to your supplier's server.
- Does Feedguard create new products?
- Not yet. It updates products that already exist in your store. Creating products from a feed is planned.
- How do I cancel?
- Switch to the Free plan on the Plans page, or uninstall the app. Billing is handled by Shopify, so charges stop immediately and unused time is prorated by Shopify.
